Kevin Hansen After clerking with the California Court of Appeals, Fifth Appellate District, Kevin D. Hansen joined McCormick Barstow LLP in 1986. He is a partner in the firm’s Insurance and Bad Faith Litigation Practice Group, having previously served as its chairperson. He has developed an expertise in the investigation, analysis and litigation of first and third-party insurance coverage and insurance fraud claims, including arson, bodily injury, property loss, fraudulent ring activity, motor vehicle claims, staged accidents, auto theft, catastrophe claims, premium fraud, and numerous other types of insurance fraud. Mr. Hansen has experience in evaluating and directing investigations, providing coverage advice and recommendations and litigating insurance coverage matters and disputes of all types. Mr. Hansen has lectured to and authored presentations for the Property Loss Research Bureau, International Association of Special Investigation Units, Anti-Fraud Alliance, Western States Auto Theft Investigators, Southern California Fraud Investigators Association, California Conference of Arson Investigators and the Combined Claims Conference. He serves as Of Counsel to various groups including WSATI and the California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters.
