Of his 25 years in the insurance industry, Scott has spent a majority of his time in the fraud investigation trenches. Beginning his career at USAA as an auto and property adjuster, Scott moved into the Special Investigations Unit soon after. Scott was tasked with investigating all manners of claims including, alleged auto theft, property theft and disappearance, fire investigations and casualty claims. Ultimately Scott was asked to focus on casualty claims and organized medical fraud relative to auto liability claims. After 13 years at USAA Scott transitioned to a management role at Avis Budget Group where he had SIU supervisory and management responsibilities for the program’s North American Operations. By the end of his tenure at Avis Budget Group, Scott led the SIU, Loss Prevention and Corporate Security Operations. In 2024, Scott moved into his current role as Membership Director with the National Insurance Crime Bureau. In his current position, Scott works with NICB member companies and law enforcement partners around the country in the fight against fraud.
