KEVIN D. HANSEN is a partner in the Fresno, California office of McCormick Barstow LLP and
former Chair of the firm’s Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Litigation Practice Group. Mr.
Hansen’s practice focuses on First and Third Party Insurance Coverage and Litigation, with an
emphasis on Insurance Fraud, Arson, Insurance Bad Faith Defense and Property Insurance
Coverage. He is a member of the American Bar Association including the Tort and Insurance
Practice Section and its Property Insurance Law, Insurance Coverage, and Environmental Law
committees. Mr. Hansen is a member of and/or has lectured before the Northern and Southern
California Fraud Investigators Associations, the Defense Research Institute, the Western States
Auto Theft Investigators Association (where he serves Of Counsel), the Property Claims
Association of the Pacific, the California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (where
he serves Of Counsel), the International Association of Special Investigation Units and the
California Conference of Arson Investigators. He has also lectured before various property
insurance and industry organizations, including the Property Loss Research Bureau (PLRB), the
Combined Claims Conference, the Claims Conference of Northern California, and the National
Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters, and has authored or co-authored articles and
materials published by the American Bar Association, California Continuing Education of the Bar,
PLRB and other organizations. Mr. Hansen has been named to the list of Northern California Super
Lawyers every year since 2014.
