
Deputy District Attorney Keegan Lund joined the Insurance Fraud Unit in March 2024 and has served as a Deputy District Attorney in Orange County since 2019. He is assigned to prosecute workers’ compensation. He also prosecuted crimes as a Deputy District Attorney in Tulare County from 2018 to 2019 and as a certified law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in 2017. Prior to his career in public service, he worked in multiple insurance defense firms, including Anderson, McPharlin & Conners LLP in Los Angeles. He has experience assisting with depositions, civil discovery, and civil trial preparation. Mr. Lund has conducted over 30 trials, over 100 preliminary hearings, restitution hearings, and litigated various motions and appellate issues. He was also a co-presenter at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Impaired Driving and Traffic Safety Conference in 2023 and was published in IACP’s publication Police Chief Magazine. At OCDA, he was assigned to the Professional Responsibility and Training Unit where he organized and led dozens of trainings all over the state of California for prosecutors and law enforcement officers. Mr. Lund was elected to serve on the Orange County District Attorney’s Association’s “Civic Action Committee,” and has been chosen to be a member of the OCDA’s “Peer Support Team.” He has also been an active member of OCDA’s Association for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (AIDE) and regularly speaks to a university’s pre-law society about careers in criminal prosecution. Mr. Lund is a member of CDAA, OCBA, and SCFIA. Mr. Lund trained at the CDAA Fraud Symposium Conference this fiscal year and continues to train at most fraud conferences. He is scheduled to train for Parma self-insured partners this Spring 2026 on applicant fraud.
