John Hancock is an investigative data intelligence leader with a background in artificial intelligence, business intelligence, and analytics-focused product development. His work centers on building systems that help investigative teams reason through complex, fragmented information while preserving human judgment and accountability.
Before founding Hubstream, John was a business intelligence leader at Microsoft, where he led teams working on some of the suite of products that make up Microsoft Power BI. His work focused on large-scale data modeling, analytics workflows, and visualization capabilities designed to support complex decision-making in enterprise environments.
John’s experience spans analytics architecture, data normalization, and the design of tools that support cognitive work rather than simple record-keeping. He brings a practitioner’s perspective on how today’s dynamic investigative data differs from traditional, static data, and how modern approaches—including AI used responsibly—can support investigative reasoning without replacing investigator judgment or undermining legal defensibility.
