David is the President of Behavior Analysis Investigations LLC and OC Private Investigators, a private investigation firm in Southern California specializing in conducting fraud-related interviews to determine credibility and deception. He served in the US Army and is a retired Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy. He is considered a subject matter expert (SME) and has studied, partnered with, and served as a certified trainer for programs developed by Dr. Paul Ekman. Dr. Ekman is one of the most renowned psychologists in American history and a pioneer in emotion research, famous for identifying universal facial expressions for core emotions, discovering micro-expressions that reveal concealed feelings, and developing programs for law enforcement in the areas of deception detection. David is also certified under the Facial Action Coding System (FACS) developed by Dr. Ekman, which maps the human face with Action Units to determine muscle contractions for specific emotions. David has interviewed over 20,000 subjects and has been in business conducting fraud interviews for over 25 years.
