
Dan Calamuci is the senior representative for strategic campaigns and research at the Nor Cal Carpenters Union, representing nearly 37,000 members in carpentry and related crafts in California’s northern 46 counties. Dan leads a team engaged in policy analysis, construction industry economic analysis, and strategic research for organizing, compliance, and contract campaigns.
In 2023, Dan was appointed by Governor Newsom to California’s Fraud Assessment Commission, representing organized labor. In 2025, Dan was appointed by Mayor Daniel Lurie to San Francisco's Building Inspection Commission. He holds an M.S. in Labor Studies from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and a B.A. from George Washington University. Dan lives in San Francisco, and is a proud member of Carpenters Local 22.
