
Chris Kauderer, BSME, ACTAR, is the Principal Reconstruction Expert and Owner of Kauderer & Associates, Inc., a firm specializing in traffic accident reconstruction and forensic crash analysis. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR #1070). Chris has more than 40+ years of experience investigating a broad range of collisions—including staged and fraudulent collisions, low-speed impacts, motorcycle crashes, auto-pedestrian collisions, commercial vehicle crashes, and high-speed fatalities—and regularly applies crash data retrieval and event data recorder analysis to uncover the truth behind disputed claims. Chris has been accepted in excess of 200 times as an Expert in the area of Traffic Accident Reconstruction by various Courts of CA and NV.
In addition to his casework, Chris serves as an Adjunct Instructor with Northwestern University Center for Public Safety and has taught advanced accident investigation and reconstruction courses for law enforcement and professional audiences. For the past 20 years.
Chris chaired the California Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists (CA2RS) Board of Directors for 12 years and is currently the Vice-Chairman. He is also currently a member of the ACTAR Governing Board of Directors (GBOD), reflecting his leadership and commitment to advancing the field of accident reconstruction.
Chris frequently presents on emerging technologies in reconstruction, including vehicle crash data and digital evidence, and has spoken to insurance organizations and fraud investigator groups on how modern vehicle technology strengthens investigations and exposes fraudulent claims.
