Brian Homer is currently serving as Director of Auto Claim at Travelers, a position he has held since June 2021. In this executive leadership role, has led auto liability, field appraisal, and blend organizations, consistently delivering top-tier results across multiple auto sublines. As a highly visible leader, Brian is actively involved in numerous claim center and company initiatives, while also serving as an executive leader within the California Inclusion & Diversity Council. His expertise includes management of major case and severity claim professionals, and he has established himself as a strong business partner with product, sales, and underwriting teams.
Throughout his career at Travelers, Brian has progressed through various positions of increasing responsibility, including Auto Liability Unit Manager, Auto Blend Unit Manager, and Auto Liability Technical Specialist. His professional experience encompasses successfully leading teams handling commercial, personal, and first-party medical claims, developing claim professionals in technical proficiency and litigation management, and contributing to specialized workflows. Brian has demonstrated particular skill in developing understanding of litigation processes and innovative resolution strategies, as well as evaluating complex coverage issues with active or pending litigation.
Beyond his direct responsibilities, Brian has distinguished himself as a mentor to EMT colleagues and serves as a coach in the claim leadership introductory program, helping to develop the next generation of industry leaders. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Sacramento, providing him with a strong educational foundation that complements his extensive industry experience.
