You have been assigned a Workers’ Compensation Provider Case, now what? Regret or Excitement? Part 1

We have all heard or seen the ads, hurt at work, call me and we will all make money! Like most claims involving an alleged injury, one needs to seek or be referred for medical services and in Work Comp, toss in a host of ancillary services which can include multiple treaters, diagnostics, surgery centers, interpreters, legal copy services and who knows what else. Workers’ Compensation claim generate huge profits for those involved and realistically has almost no downside. This course will identify the issues involved in Provider Fraud investigations and outline the steps one should consider. Attendees will be provided with an overview of concepts that have worked and a few that have not. What data sets and documentation do you need to assemble and understand? Do you conduct field work, do you interview or depose? Ultimately, what is your end goal? All of that and more will be covered in this two-part presentation!
