Tim Evans

Tim Evans joined California Casualty Management Company in 1976. He was promoted through the claims adjusting ranks, becoming Claims Supervisor and Branch Claims Manager. In 1996 he was promoted to California Casualty’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Manager, leading the Company’s anti-fraud program.

Tim is currently an active member of the following insurance professional organizations: American Education Association Society of Claim Law Associates (SCLA); Northern California Fraud Investigators Association (NCFIA); Southern California Fraud Investigators Association (SCFIA); International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU); and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He served as both Secretary and Vice President on the Board of Governors for the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Certified Fraud Examiners.

Mr. Evans has been an active member of the Insurance Fraud Advisory Board (IFAB) for the California Dept. of Insurance, Fraud Division since 1996 and currently serves as Chairman. In 2008 he was selected along with other IFAB members, to serve as a committee member of California Insurance Commissioner, Steve Poisner’s “Advisory Task Force on Insurance Fraud”. This task force produced and published a comprehensive review of the State’s anti-fraud programs, and gave recommendations to the Commissioner to reduce insurance fraud in California.

Tim Evans is a 1973 graduate of Pepperdine University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Continuing education in the insurance field has earned him professional designations of Senior Claims Law Associate; Casualty Claims Law Associate; Fraud Claims Law Associate; and Certified Fraud Examiner.
