Kortney DeGraffenreid has been a Special Agent with NICB for the past three years. She is currently assigned to the Medical Fraud Task force for the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. Prior to joining NICB, Kortney retired from Law Enforcement after 28 years. She spent the last 18 years of her career with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office – Investigations Bureau and held the positions of Investigator, Supervising Investigator and Commander. During her career, she investigated crimes against persons, economic crimes, political corruption cases and supervised Welfare Fraud Investigations. Prior to the Orange County DA’s Office, Kortney was a detective with the Brea Police Department and an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. Kortney holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of California – Riverside and a Master’s degree from University of San Diego.
