Michael Parker has proudly represented insurance companies and their insureds for the past 35 years: as a private investigator, SIU investigator, and for the past 27 years as SIU Trial and EUO counsel. Mr. Parker was the first SIU attorney to successfully litigate California's Qui Tam law, winning a seven-figure verdict against multiple fraudulent emergency restoration companies in the San Fernando Valley. He also successfully utilized the Qui Tam law in verdicts in first-party cases, including auto theft and arson claims, resulting in six-figure recoveries. For his ground-breaking use of complex litigation in fraud cases, the IASIU Southern California Chapter awarded him the Attorney of the Year twice – in 2001 and 2006. Since then, he has worked with major case units on medical fraud schemes in multiple states, including California, Texas, Florida, and New York. He earned his Certified Insurance Fraud Investigator (CIFI) certificate from IASIU in 2005 and has been a member of the prestigious National Board of Trial Advocates (NTBA) since 2022. He is currently nationally recognized as an Attorney of Distinction in civil litigation (2023-2026) and is also a Law Dragon (2025 and 2026). When Mr. Parker is not fighting fraud or competing in cutting horse competitions, he holds the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel (LTC) in the Texas Guard, serving as a Deputy Staff Judge Advocate to the Texas Military Department's General Staff.
